Beginner Tip

Practicing is the most rewarding thing you could do for your game. By practicing you are building a relationship with your discs, your game, and the game itself. Make time for practice.

Most Memorable Moment

My favorite disc golf memory is when I qualified for my first USDGC in 2015. I made the trip to Georgia and played the Monday Qualifier, hoping to get a spot into the show and wound up in a 3 way playoff for the final spot of the tournament. I ended up winning the spot and played in my first USDGC which was an all around amazing experience that I won’t forget.

In The Bag

Drivers

Westside Discs VIP War Horse

Most overstable driver. My wind fighter. Forehand friendly. Lightweight one for more distance but still very overstable.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Burst Enforcer

More glide and distance than my VIP War Horse but is used for similar shots.

Latitude 64 Opto Sparkle Gladiator Zack Johnson

Max distance driver with turn resistance and a predictable fade.

Latitude 64 Recycled Gladiator

Max distance driver. Very straight.

Westside Discs VIP Sorcerer

Flippy distance driver/rollers.

Westside Discs VIP Ahti

Most overstable fairway driver. Wind fighter. Forehand friendly.

Westside Discs Tournament Ahti

Overstable fairway driver. More stretch than the VIP. Strong fade.

Dynamic Discs Fuzion Felon

Straight flight with a consistent fade.

Latitude 64 Opto Explorer

Very straight flight. Great for hyzerflip shots for control or distance. Best overall fairway driver in my bag.

Westside Discs VIP Warship

This may be a midrange, but I use it as a fairway driver. Tons of glide and very controllable and fast. I use this disc for very straight finishes or shots where a glidey turnover is needed.

Westside Discs VIP Underworld

Very understable fairway driver that usually only comes out for roller shots.

Midrange

Dynamic Discs Lucid Justice

Extremely overstable midrange. Wind fighter. Spike hyzers and forehand shots. Most trustworthy disc in my bag.

Westside Discs VIP Anvil

Very overstable midrange with some glide. I use this mold when I need something overstable but with more glide than the Justice.

Westside Discs VIP Pine

Very straight and glidey midrange with a predictable fade. This mid can take some power and even has a nice fade!

Westside Discs VIP Sling

Straight flier with a lot of glide. My straightest and most controllable midrange. Flies a lot like my Shields.

Westside Discs Origio Sling

Great for wooded holes that require some touch shots. Straight at slow speeds. Understable at higher speeds.

Westside Discs Tournament Tursas

Very flippy midrange. Useful for dramatic turnover shots or even a roller.

Putters

Westside Discs BT Hard Shield

Main putting putter. Stiff and grippy plastic. Very predictable flight path with a consistent fade.

Westside Discs BT Medium Shield

Firm but grippy putter that I mainly use for straight tee shots up to 300 feet.

Westside Discs BT Hard Harp

Turn resistant and straighter finishing Harp. Mainly used for tighter gaps or straight forehands.

Westside Discs BT Soft Harp

Overstable putter. Main upshot disc because of the consistent flight and grippy plastic.

Westside Discs VIP Harp

Overstable putter. I use this disc for more skippy finishes or forehand upshots.

Westside Discs Origio Burst Maiden

Very straight putter. Great for uphill putts or soft upshots. Understable at high speeds.
